First there were Betamax tapes, then VHS tapes, next are VCDs, and now DVDs. This evolution shows that everything just keeps on developing and innovations keep on happening. Gone are the days when people have their big Betamax and VHS players. Today, all you can see in the market are VCD and DVD players; DVDs are even replacing VCDs. With all of these, a person cannot avoid to wonder what will come next. Well, inventors or companies are now designing devices that will eventually replace DVDs. Blu-Ray Disc Association has their Blu-Ray Disc (BD) while DVD Forum also has their HD-DVD. This innovations are called High-Definition Format War.
