Let’s clarify those confusing terms out there and start with DVD-ROM.
The DVD-ROM is a type of read-only compact disc. It stores a minimum of 4.7 gigabytes (GB), which is enough for one entire movie (remember those VCD’s where the movie stops at the middle of an interesting scene so you can insert Disc 2?). In my opinion, DVD ROMs are the coolest, since their drives are backwards-compatible – meaning, you can play CD ROM’s, VCDs and DVD’s in them. It means, you don’t have to ditch those old VCD collection of yours when you get a DVD ROM player.
